OUR STORY

We are Richard and JeannaLynn May better known as just Richard&JeannaLynn! We have been married since 1986. We have two children: Brad, born in 1989 and Brittney, born in 1992.  Richard received his B.A. in Bible from Magnolia Bible College and his M.A. in Ministry from Oklahoma Christian. He has been preaching since 1984 when he was eighteen years old. He has preached in MS, TN, and presently in OK. Richard is also an adjunct teacher at Oklahoma Christian University.  JeannaLynn is an R.N. She received her B.S. in nursing from the University Of Mississippi Medical Center in May 1987. She has worked as a staff nurse in Labor and Delivery; as a prenatal, breastfeeding, and parenting educator for hospitals in MS and OK; and as an office nurse for a private practice OB-GYN.

 

We have a deep passionate love for each other, but we’ve seriously questioned the durability of our relationship in the past. We’ve felt like we have had more than our share of trials, tribulations and struggles! During our darkest hours we felt very alone and scared. We did not know where or how to get the encouragement or strength to hold on to our marriage! There were people who were not Christ-centered willing to quickly advise us to just get a divorce and start over with someone else. We knew that wasn’t the option God wanted us to choose, but at times we thought our options were so limited. Through a lot of prayer, many tears, personal/couple study time, habit changes, and support from some Christian friends we were able to find our way!

 

Now, it is our passion to allow God to work though us to help others who want more than what they have. We know how special the husband/wife relationship is to God because we read how he compares that relationship to the relationship between Christ and his church. He intends for us to love and respect each other for life. What God Has Joined let no one separate!
